'Golden rule' - a one size fits all CV doesn't work, you must adapt your CV for every application that you make.
- Keep the CV to 2 pages, make it relevant to the role so that the employer will want to meet you.
- Use a true type font, times new roman, ariel or garamond are good.
- Always include a personal profile and adapt it for each application.
- Ensure layout, format of dates and headings are consistent.
- Include your achievements in each role, don't just list your duties.
- Explain any gaps between positions.
- Check spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Don't include a photograph
